No one inspired Lane more than his dad, Clyde Frost.
Clyde was voted on by his fellow bareback riders to be the bareback riding director on the Rodeo Cowboy Association board of directors making different rules & decisions for the association. Clyde retired from rodeoing in 1968. In 2010, Clyde was inducted into the National Cowboy HOF & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, OK. In 2018, he received the "Ben Johnson Award" at the same Museum in OKC. Clyde says his greatest achievement he feels is his family and his relationship with our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ.
